Types of Program & Minimum Requirements
Applications are accepted by the NBPNP under the immigration categories as listed below:
Express Entry Labour Market Stream – The Express Entry Labour Market stream makes it possible for the NBPNP to utilize the immigration selection system of federal Express Entry to cater to the demographic and certain labour market needs of New Brunswick’s specific labour market.
Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream– This stream is for candidates who have finished from a University or college in New Brunswick, and have acquired or started a business in the province can apply through the Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream.
Skilled Workers with Employer Support – Under this stream, New Brunswick accepts applications under the Skilled Workers with Employer Support category from individuals or employees that have received a permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in New Brunswick.
Entrepreneurial Stream – Under this stream, the applications are accepted from investors and business persons who will like to own an investment or actively manage a business in New Brunswick. The applicants under the Entrepreneurial Stream should be ready to invest in the business monetarily.
Processing time for NBPNP
The applicant will be given a grace of 90 days to submit a completed application to the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour after receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA). The nominated candidate will be called upon for an interview with the NBPNP Immigration Officer.
After the succeeding the interview, the applicant will receive a Certificate of Nomination which will be valid for the next six months starting from the date of issue. The nominated candidates are expected to submit the application for permanent residence to IRCC. The candidate should report to the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour within 30 days of arrival in Canada.
